While not required in order to play on the MUSH, submitting an IC and thematic background can be to your advantage. As with Croft and the other members of the team sent down in 'Gun on Ice Planet Zero', background, training and skills played an important part in their being chosen.  As in this instance, we can use this information to help determine who ICly would be chosen to participate in a mission or in other RP circumstances.
