Home Up MUSH Setting BattlestarMUSH

Battlestar Mush is a collection of fans of the television series Battlestar Galactica who have gathered together on the Internet to role-play within the BSG Theme Framework. It is totally free and anyone is welcome to come and join in the fun.

Role-playing is like acting in a play, writing a story in which the READER gets to choose how events will progress, or even the time when you were much younger and played 'make-believe' with your friends that you were a Cowboy, a Princess, or perhaps a Fireman. Players take on an alter-ego role in which they construct a 'Character' which they control. The character has traits, skills, and often a background which help act as guides for the person to base their role-play on (establish a pattern how the character responds to a given situation.)

The Mush itself has an average of 25-35 players online from all over the world. It is a large environment encompassing several spaceships, planets, a vast outer-space, and a strong loyal cadre of players.

Battlestar Mush came online in October of 1994 and officially opened for In-Character Role-playing on February 1, 1995. In the Spring of 1997, it was deemed necessary in order to maintain the high level of play on the MUSH, systems would need updating as well as a modification to the timeline of the game. As a result of these decisions, a second database was created and a new MUSH was created keeping that which had made Battlestar MUSH special and unique in the past and adding elements that would continue this tradition. The MUSH currently runs on a modified version of Penn-Mush.
